The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NERC) has approved a draft resolution to increase the tariff for 2025 for NEC "Ukrenergo" for electricity transmission by 25.8% – to 665.26 UAH/MWh (excluding VAT), which is 10% lower than what the company itself proposed.

The relevant decision was adopted by the regulator during the meeting.

The draft also includes a reduction in the transmission tariff for "green" metallurgy by 3.3% – to 352.73 UAH/MWh, as well as a 9% decrease in the dispatching tariff – to 95.07 UAH/MWh.

According to the document, the calculations were based on an electricity transmission volume of 98.7 million MWh, with the necessary revenue from transmission services amounting to 65.5 billion UAH (in 2024, this will be 99.4 million MWh and 52.5 billion UAH, respectively). The exchange rate for the dollar to hryvnia was considered at 44.5 UAH, and for the euro at 48.51 UAH.

Additionally, the draft resolution recommends prioritizing payments for electricity generated from renewable energy sources (RES).

According to data from the State Enterprise "Guaranteed Buyer" on its website, as of October 1, 2024, the debt of "Ukrenergo" for the payment of "green" electricity to industrial RES stations reached 30 billion UAH. The payment level for 2024 is 60.8%, while in 2023 it was 91.5%, and in 2022 it was 61.3%.
