In Tbilisi and several cities across Georgia, educational processes have been interrupted in a number of institutions as a form of protest.

According to Georgia Online, it is reported that professors and educators have joined students in this demonstration. Participants are protesting against the Georgian government's decision to halt negotiations with the European Union until the end of 2028.

The publication notes that starting today, the educational process has been interrupted at Komarov School and St. Ilia the Righteous School in Tbilisi, with most teachers and students supporting the protest. Classes have also been suspended at the Free Newton School.

“Our main value is the freedom and future of our students, which is why we are joining all the righteous initiatives of protest,” states a joint declaration from the schools.

In Tbilisi, one of the largest demonstrations is taking place at School No. 52, where students are standing in the yard holding placards with quotes from Georgian writers.

According to reports, students from the Georgian University have also left their classrooms.

Moreover, the protest continues in various regions, including several schools in Zugdidi, Kutaisi, Poti, the village of Nighvziani in the Lanchkhuti district, Akhaltsikhe, and Chokhatauri. Joint protests by students and university faculty are occurring in Tbilisi and Batumi.

The publication emphasizes that Georgia's Minister of Education, Alexander Tsuladze, demands that state schools and universities immediately resume classes. He has threatened private educational institutions with the loss of accreditation.

Furthermore, within the Ministry of Education itself, about 200 employees have signed a protest statement declaring that the government's decision contradicts Article 78 of the Constitution of Georgia.
