Latvia has delivered 100 FPV drones to the Ukrainian military as part of the public charity initiative "Drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine."

This was reported by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Latvia.

It is noted that the funds used to purchase the locally manufactured drones were raised, in particular, during a charity initiative by Latvia's Foreign Minister, Baiba Braže, who ran the Riga Half Marathon in May 2024, urging the public to donate for drones for Ukrainian soldiers.

“The project is being carried out in cooperation with the Embassy of Ukraine in Latvia and the Latvian charity fund Ziedot.lv, and has currently raised approximately 130,000 euros,” the message states.

As clarified by the embassy, the hundred drones will be transferred to two military units – the 21st Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine Brigade "Lut."
