The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has approved the technical specifications for the property of the food service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This decision is noted as an important step in the process of unifying technical requirements for the procurement of equipment.

According to the ministry’s press service, this information has been reported.

“Until now, there were no uniform technical specifications for the property of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ food service. The Ministry of Defense emphasized that they continue to work on improving the logistical support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to enhance the level of support for Ukrainian military personnel.

Recall that earlier the Ministry of Defense tightened the quality requirements for food products supplied to the Armed Forces. This applies to poultry, fish, and dairy products.

The Ministry of Defense also prohibited the supply of dairy and fermented dairy products to the Armed Forces that are not made from cow or sheep milk. Changes have been made to the Product Description in the Food Product Catalog.

Background. Previously, Mind reported that the Government approved supervisory boards for the Ministry of Defense’s procurement agencies. These boards include both Ukrainian and international experts. This “will allow for the integration of global experience in reforming defense procurement.” It is noted that the supervisory boards will operate independently, as most members were selected through open competitions.
