On the night of January 18, 2025, the enemy launched an attack using 39 strike UAVs of the "Shahed" type and various types of imitation drones, as well as deployed four ballistic missiles "Iskander-M"/KN-23.

As of 08:00, the destruction of two ballistic missiles "Iskander-M"/KN-23 in the Kyiv region and 24 strike UAVs of the "Shahed" type along with other types of drones in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Donetsk regions has been confirmed.

It is noted that 14 enemy imitation drones were locally lost (without negative consequences).

"Unfortunately, as a result of the enemy strike on Kyiv, people have died – the downed ballistic missiles fell in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city. A production building of an enterprise has been partially destroyed, and there are damages to houses, the metro entrance, vehicles, and a main water pipeline," the statement said.

According to preliminary information, there are currently no reports of casualties in Zaporizhzhia, search operations are ongoing, but there are injured individuals receiving assistance. The enemy struck a ballistic missile at one of the city's enterprises, causing damage to buildings and vehicles.
