Eighteen percent of the military income tax will be allocated to support the logistical needs of the Defense Forces.

The government made this decision during a meeting.

The government has made amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution dated January 23, 2024, stating that from October to December of this year, 18% of the income tax from military personnel will be allocated for the logistical support of military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was reported by the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.

The changes specifically stipulate that from October 1 to December 31, 2024, 18% of the income tax from military personnel, which is directed to the special fund of the state budget, will be allocated to the main budget managers in the security and defense sector "for further distribution to military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations for logistical support."

In addition, the government has regulated the allocation of remaining funds from the special fund of the state budget for logistical support of military units in January 2025, with the source of these funds being the income from the relevant portion of the "military" personal income tax.

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the Cabinet directed 9.6 billion UAH of military personal income tax to the Defense Forces for the purchase of weapons and equipment. The funds were allocated to implement the law on redirecting the "military" personal income tax to the state budget.
