The ceremony was hosted by comedian Trevor Noah. He admitted that due to the extensive wildfires near Los Angeles, "just a few weeks ago, we weren’t sure if this show would even take place."
The devastating fires became the main theme of the ceremony. Firefighter teams were invited and walked the red carpet. Additionally, over $7 million was raised that evening for those affected.
