Украина получит 150 миллионов евро от ЕС на два жилищных проекта.

The Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) has approved an additional €150 million for two housing projects in Ukraine – aimed at supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs) and compensating for destroyed homes.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance.

In particular, a new project for Ukraine worth €50 million has been approved, which will assist internally displaced persons (IDPs) in obtaining their own housing.

The financing of this new preferential lending project for IDPs will provide housing for 1,460 Ukrainian families by 2025 under the most favorable conditions. Internally displaced families can secure a loan from the State Youth Housing Program at a fixed interest rate of 3% per annum for a term of up to 30 years, with a minimum down payment of 6% of the housing cost, which the borrower can choose themselves.

A decision was also made to provide additional funding of €100 million for the project “HOME: Compensation for Destroyed Housing.” Combatants, disabled individuals, and large families will receive compensation for housing destroyed as a result of combat actions and terrorist attacks by the Russian Federation in the form of certificates for purchasing housing. The project is being implemented across the entire territory of Ukraine.

The additional funding within the HOME project amounting to €100 million will be allocated for providing compensation for over 2,000 housing certificates, enabling around 5,700 Ukrainians to receive compensation for their destroyed homes.
