PJSC "Ukrnafta" has received a special permit for the development of the Kitvan oil and gas area in the Ivano-Frankivsk region for a period of 20 years. The company acquired the license during an auction held by the State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources of Ukraine (Gosgeonadr), with a bid of 6.5 million UAH.
This information was revealed from data provided by the UBIZ.ua platform.
During the auction, "Ukrnafta" was the only active participant, as its competitor, LLC "Eurotextile," did not exceed the starting price of 5.017 million UAH. It is worth noting that in the two previous auctions – on September 24 and October 11 – only "Ukrnafta" showed interest in the Kitvan area, leading to the cancellation of those auctions.
Moreover, due to a lack of applications, auctions for the acquisition of special permits for five other oil and gas plots were canceled, including Tarashchanska (starting price 77.14 million UAH, Chernivtsi region), Lyubynetska (48.309 million UAH, Lviv region), Dobrobrativska (29.271 million UAH, Transcarpathian region), as well as Mezhyrichchia-Eastern (24.69 million UAH) and South-Monastyretske field (19.286 million UAH) – both located in the Lviv region.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that “Ukrnafta” signed an agreement with Ukrgasbank to attract 4 billion UAH in credit funds. This money will be used for drilling new wells and constructing modern gas-piston installations that will aid in energy generation.
