17-летний феномен стал чемпионом мира по дартсу.

In the final of the 2024 World Darts Championship, 17-year-old Englishman Luke Littler faced off against 35-year-old Dutchman Michael van Gerwen.

Interestingly, Littler reached the final for the second consecutive time, having lost in the previous year, while van Gerwen was defeated in the final of the tournament two years ago.

This year’s final saw the 17-year-old prodigy start off confidently, winning the first four sets (the match was played to a best of seven sets).

After that, van Gerwen, who was competing in his seventh World Championship final (having won three times), leveled the game, and the players began exchanging sets.

With the score at 6:3, Littler dominated the tenth set, giving his opponent no chances and winning all three legs, thereby claiming the world champion title at just 17 years old. The previous record was held by van Gerwen, who won his first World Championship at the age of 24.

Luke Littler (England) – Michael van Gerwen (Netherlands) 7:3

The champion will receive a cash prize of £500,000, while the runner-up earned £300,000.
