The publication reminded that last year, Congress, in a law signed by Biden, required TikTok's parent company ByteDance to sell the company by January 19, the day before Trump's inauguration. “Trump, who once called for the app to be banned, has since promised to keep it available in the U.S., although his transition team has not disclosed how they plan to achieve this,” writes Associated Press.
