Belarus will conduct military exercises near the Ukrainian border.

Belarus will conduct military exercises in the Gomel region, close to the Ukrainian border. These exercises are scheduled to take place from January 8 to January 31, 2025.

This was reported by the press center of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus.

The exercises will be overseen by the head of the Gomel District Executive Committee, as stated in the announcement.

During the gathering, the following activities are planned:

• reception of reservists from territorial troops and their comprehensive support using the local mobilization deployment base;
• restoration of skills for the command staff of territorial troops in managing subordinates;
• preparation of reservists for task execution, particularly in collaboration with the engineering units of the armed forces.
