The UK will allocate £3 billion annually in its military budget to support Ukraine.

The government of the kingdom emphasized that Britain's assistance to Kyiv will continue "for as long as necessary."
Великобритания будет выделять по 3 миллиарда фунтов в год на поддержку Украины в своем военном бюджете.

The UK Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves, presented the budget in Parliament following repeated statements from the ruling Labour Party about the significant gap between expenditures and revenues, indicating that painful cuts will be necessary for balance.

As Reeves announced, funding for defense expenditures, which includes military assistance to Ukraine, will increase, according to the BBC.

“Today, I am announcing a total budget increase for the Ministry of Defence of £2.9 billion ($3.8 billion) for next year, which will allow the United Kingdom to exceed our NATO commitments and provide guaranteed military support to Ukraine of £3 billion per year,” the Chancellor stated to applause from parliament members.

She emphasized that Britain's assistance to Kyiv will continue “for as long as it is needed.”

The Labour Party has committed to raising the country’s defense spending to 2.5% of GDP, but Reeves promised to provide details on when and how this goal will be achieved at a separate event in the future.

Background. It was previously reported that Britain has allocated over $150 million to support Ukraine's maritime coalition. London is seeking partners to jointly supply Ukraine with aerial and maritime drones to protect the “grain corridor.”
