ДТЕК привлекла 450 млн евро для модернизации ветряной электростанции.

The Ukrainian energy company DTEK has secured €450 million in both its own and borrowed funds to enhance the capacity of the Tiligul Wind Power Plant.

This information is mentioned in a press release from the company.

It is noted that the plan is to quadruple the plant's capacity from 114 to 500 MW. To achieve this, the company will increase the number of turbines in the wind farm from 19 to 83. These 64 turbines are intended to be purchased from Vestas.

“This commitment represents the largest private sector investment in Ukraine since the full-scale invasion by Russia in 2022 and the biggest private investment in the country’s energy sector to date,” the statement reads.

According to the agreement, banks will provide €370 million in loans backed by guarantees from the Danish Export-Import Fund, most of which will be used to finance the Vestas turbines. DTEK will cover the remaining project costs with its own funds.

It is emphasized that the cable networks and foundations have already been laid, and the company plans to complete construction by the end of 2026.

DTEK believes that at full capacity, the Tiligul WPP will generate 1.7 TWh of electricity per year, which is equivalent to powering 900,000 households.

Background. Previously, Mind reported that some consumers would pay half the price for electricity under a preferential tariff. The government implemented a differentiation of the preferential electricity tariff.

Meanwhile, the energy committee of the Parliament supported amendments to the bill regarding the purchase of reactors for the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant from Bulgaria. These reactors were originally acquired from the Russians by the Bulgarians.
