A fire covering an area of 39 hectares near the wastewater treatment facilities in Kharkiv, which had been ongoing since October 1, has been extinguished.
This was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, as conveyed by "Dumka".
According to the State Emergency Service, on October 16 at 15:10, firefighters extinguished the fire of dry vegetation in the area of the municipal wastewater treatment facilities in the Osnovyansky district of Kharkiv, which had persisted since October 1.
The affected area was 39 hectares. During the peak of the firefighting efforts, 22 units of equipment and 122 emergency rescuers, along with municipal machinery, were involved.
