Who is Vivek Ramaswamy, who, alongside Musk, opposes support for Ukraine and aims to cut the U.S. budget by $500 billion?

Both entrepreneurs are launching a podcast called Dogecast, where they will share updates about the operations of their newly established Department.
Кто такой Вивек Рамасвами, который вместе с Маском выступает против поддержки Украины и предлагает сократить бюджет США на 500 млрд долларов?

On the eve, Bloomberg reported that businessman Vivek Ramaswamy and billionaire Elon Musk plan to abolish several American federal agencies. This will be undertaken by the new Department of Government Efficiency in the U.S. (DOGE), which they will soon lead.

“We expect that some agencies will be completely shut down,” Ramaswamy stated. He also announced cuts to federal contractors and recipients of “excessively large bills” from the U.S. government.

Both businessmen will launch a podcast called Dogecast, where they will inform about the activities of their newly established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Ramaswamy announced this on his YouTube channel.

“We will target the bloated fourth branch of government and finally restore self-governance in America. And in the process, we will tackle the massive excesses of federal spending like never before in our generation,” Ramaswamy declared.

On Dogecast, Musk and Ramaswamy plan to explain what they are doing on their path to cutting government spending by $500 billion annually.

Vivek Ramaswamy is an American pro-Russian entrepreneur of Indian descent. On February 21, 2023, he announced his candidacy for the presidency of the United States from the Republican Party for the 2024 presidential election but later withdrew from the race.

Ramaswamy founded the biopharmaceutical company Roivant Sciences in 2014; however, he initially worked as an investment partner, amassing wealth through stock market maneuvers.

Ramaswamy advocates for “significant concessions to Russia” in the Russian-Ukrainian war and the cessation of military support for Ukraine. He supports a ban on Ukraine's NATO membership and allowing Russia to occupy regions of Ukraine in exchange for an agreement that Russia “severs its alliance with China.”

In his view, “the war in Ukraine further unites our two enemies – the great powers of Russia and China.”

According to Ramaswamy, the longer the war in Ukraine continues, the clearer it becomes that there is only one winner: China.

“I will ensure peace in Ukraine on the only terms that should matter to us. We must force Putin to rid himself of Xi Jinping. To that end, I will recognize Russian control over the occupied territories (of Ukraine) and commit to blocking Ukraine’s NATO candidacy in exchange for Russia exiting its military alliance with China,” he stated during his presidential campaign.

At the same time, he promised to end sanctions and reintegrate Russia into the global market.

“In this way, I will make Russia a strategic counterbalance to China’s plans in East Asia,” Ramaswamy asserted.

In one of his recent interviews, Vivek claimed that a “military leader after Zelensky” would take power in Ukraine with the help of American military equipment, mainly comparing the situation to the Mujahideen and Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan after the retreat of Soviet troops.

Other interesting facts. In his presidential campaign, Ramaswamy referred to himself as a “scientist” who “developed a range of drugs.” In reality, he holds a degree in biology and has never been a scientist, but rather a financier and entrepreneur.

When launching his presidential campaign, Vivek’s team hired a Wikipedia editor to alter his biography.

Vivek also believes in conspiracy theories; in an interview with The Atlantic, he suggested that “the planes that crashed into the Twin Towers” during the September 11 attacks had “FBI agents” on board.

He also labeled climate change programs as a scam, stating that “people should take pride in leading a high-carbon lifestyle.” He added that “more people die” from climate policy than from “actual climate change.”

Background. It has been reported that users are leaving Twitter en masse after Trump’s victory and migrating to the new social network Bluesky. Users claim that the main reason for the migration from Twitter is the increasing toxicity of its owner, Elon Musk.
