In the second round of the Australian Open, Ukraine's top tennis player Marta Kostyuk defeated Jule Niemeier.
The match lasted just over an hour, but it was significantly delayed due to rain.
In the first set, Kostyuk started strong with five consecutive game wins but then lost three in a row; however, she still secured the victory.
The Ukrainian began the second set with confidence and managed to finish it decisively, winning the set without dropping a game.

This victory guaranteed the Ukrainian $290,000 in prize money, awarded to players advancing to the third round.
