The Kremlin disapproves of Erdogan's "peace plan" regarding the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.

Peskov referred to the proposal for freezing the conflict as "unacceptable."
Кремль не оценил "мирный план" Эрдогана по конфликту России с Украиной.

On November 18, the Kremlin rejected the "peace plan" proposed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, calling it "unacceptable."

Erdoğan's proposal includes a commitment that Ukraine will not join NATO for at least 10 years, a freeze on the current front line, provision of weapons to Ukraine, and the deployment of international troops in a demilitarized buffer zone in the eastern part of the country, as reported by Bloomberg.

The publication also mentioned that Erdoğan will present this plan during the G20 negotiations starting on November 18.

In response to the news, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov dismissed the proposal.

"The option of freezing the line of military confrontation is unacceptable to the Russian side," he stated in a comment to Interfax.

G20 countries are gathering for a summit in Brazil, where Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will not be present.

Brazil is a signatory to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, which last year issued an arrest warrant for Putin for the abduction of Ukrainian children. ‌

It has been reported that the President of Ukraine will also not attend, despite numerous requests from Kyiv for an invitation. On November 16, Zelensky stated that Ukraine must do everything possible to end the war diplomatically by 2025.‌‌

Background. Recall that it was previously reported that Erdoğan developed a "peace plan" to end the war: freeze the conflict and prevent Ukraine from joining NATO.
