The dollar exchange rate is expected to keep rising over the next 12 months, according to data from the National Bank of Ukraine.

According to forecasts from financial analysts, bankers, business leaders, and the public, the dollar exchange rate is expected to continue rising over the next 12 months.

Data from the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) supports this.

In January 2025, financial analysts anticipate an exchange rate of 45.19 UAH/$. This is higher than the previous forecast from December of last year (44.83 UAH/$).

At the same time, bankers predict that the exchange rate in January will be around 45.31 UAH/$. This exceeds the previous forecast from October, which was 44.92 UAH/$.

According to the regulator, the public expected the exchange rate to be 44.42 UAH/$ in December 2024, which is an increase compared to November's rate of 44.11 UAH/$.

Meanwhile, business leaders in November 2024 anticipated an exchange rate of 44.42 UAH/$. This is higher than the previous forecast from August (43.72 UAH/$).

The official dollar exchange rate rose by 10.7% in 2024, reaching 42.03 UAH.

According to the NBU, the average selling rate of cash dollars increased by 11.2% in 2024, reaching 42.07 UAH. The state budget for 2025 has an average exchange rate projected at 45 UAH/$ and 45.6 UAH/$ for December.
