The dollar exchange rate has once again risen above 42 hryvnias.

The National Bank of Ukraine has raised the dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia.

This is confirmed by data on the regulator's website.

The official exchange rate for January 3, 2025, has been set at: 42.0385 UAH per $1 (+0.0660 UAH) compared to 41.9725 UAH/$ on Thursday. On Monday, December 30, it reached a historic low, dropping to 42.0390 UAH/$.

Meanwhile, the official euro exchange rate will be 43.3753 UAH per 1 euro (-0.2299 UAH).

Today, on the interbank market, the rate increased by 15 kopecks, reaching 42.09–42.12 UAH/$ (buy/sell) compared to the previous day's closing.

At the same time, the hryvnia's exchange rate against the euro strengthened by another 23 kopecks – to 43.3753 UAH per euro. On September 19, it updated its historical minimum, dropping to 46.2396 UAH per euro.

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that on the last day of the year, the official rate would cross 42 UAH per dollar. The hryvnia exchange rate for 2025 is projected to be at 45 UAH per dollar.
