Today, January 20, in Derhachi, Kharkiv region, the community bid farewell to Vyacheslav Ryzhy, who lost his life in the war.
This was reported by the head of the Derhachi city military administration, Vyacheslav Zadorenko, as conveyed by "Dumka".
According to Zadorenko, the fallen soldier was born in Kochubeivka, where he lived in 2014 and graduated from Tokarivskyi Lyceum. He then studied at the Kharkiv Transport Lyceum, where he obtained a specialty as an auto mechanic.
In September 2024, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a mechanized platoon leader. However, during a combat mission, the soldier from the 67th separate mechanized brigade was wounded and killed. This occurred on December 26, 2024, during battles near the village of Kamyshevka in the Kursk direction.
"He was a strong-willed person, as well as an open and sincere individual, full of love for those around him. At the time of his death, the soldier was only 25 years old. The Ukrainian defender was buried at the Alley of Glory in Kharkiv Cemetery No. 18. He is survived by his father Valentin, mother Irina, brother Andriy, and sisters Inna, Alena, Veronika, and Marina. My condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased!" - noted Zadorenko.
