A major fire broke out at an electrical substation on Khreshchatyk in Kyiv.

In the morning of January 15, an electrical substation caught fire in Kyiv. This incident occurred on Khreshchatyk.

"Relevant services are working at the site," the statement reads.

A DTEK crew was expected to arrive to gain access for extinguishing the fire.

As of 09:06, the fire at the electrical substation had been localized.

According to the KSCA, residents of four apartment buildings were temporarily left without electricity.

"Specialists are working on restoration. Power will be restored to consumers in approximately 4 hours," the administration added.
