The German armed forces have begun an informational campaign with representatives of companies to prepare for a potential war with Russia.

According to the publication, the government has developed a secret document titled “German Operational Plan” in case of military invasion. It specifically lists all facilities and infrastructure that require special protection.

The document also includes a detailed action plan for defense scenarios.

In addition, there is a special plan in case of direct confrontation between Russia and NATO in Eastern Europe. In such a scenario, Germany is to become a transport hub for soldiers that need to be deployed to the front, as well as for military equipment, food, and medical supplies.

The entire document spans about a thousand pages.

The first initiative to prepare German companies for a potential military conflict was conducted by the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. As FAZ reports, the head of the regional command, Lieutenant Colonel Jörn Plischke, provided specific recommendations for business representatives.

“For every 100 employees, train at least 5 additional truck drivers, even if you don’t need them. 70% of all trucks on German roads are driven by people from Eastern Europe. If there is war there, where will these people go?” the military official noted.

According to him, businesses should transition to autonomous power sources, such as diesel generators or their own wind turbines.

Plischke added that Russia is preparing for a conflict with Germany: launching drones for reconnaissance, engaging in sabotage, conducting cyberattacks, and planning assassinations of top managers of German companies.

The lieutenant colonel emphasized that Germany faces significant challenges in producing military equipment and ammunition.

“Russia has begun to prepare its war. Russia is currently producing 25 battle tanks per month, while Germany produces three per year,” Plischke emphasized.

The Senate of Hamburg, for its part, has already responded to the threat by creating over 40 additional jobs to enhance crisis management and protect the population.

Similar discussions, like those in Hamburg, are taking place across the country. “All state commands have been tasked with carrying out this assignment,” it was reported in the Bundeswehr.

According to the publication, the “German Operational Plan” has not yet been approved and will be supplemented with logistical training.

In mid-October, the head of the Federal Intelligence Service of Germany, Bruno Kahl, stated that Russia might attack NATO by 2030. He mentioned that the Kremlin views Germany as an adversary since Berlin is Kyiv's second-largest partner.

Background. Scholz expressed regret that G20 leaders failed to condemn Russia for the war in Ukraine. The G20 could not find the words to clearly convey that Russia bears responsibility for the invasion, he said.
