The drone attack on the oil depot in the Kaluga region of Russia was a special operation carried out by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
NV reported this information from sources within the Defense Forces.
According to the publication's informant, on November 25, around 00:30, a series of explosions occurred at the site due to kamikaze drone strikes, leading to a fire. Footage from eyewitnesses shows the unsuccessful attempts of Russian air defense to repel the UAV attack and how Ukrainian drones hit the enemy target one after another, causing extensive destruction.
“Despite the devastating consequences of the attack, the published videos show that local residents received the GUR MO operation with enthusiasm and good humor,” the report states.
As emphasized by Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation, in addition to the oil depot, the “Typhoon” factory, which is part of Russia's military-industrial complex (MIC), was also attacked. This facility specializes in the development and manufacturing of radio-electronic equipment, including communication systems, radar equipment, and devices for electronic reconnaissance.
Additionally, the enterprise produces optoelectronic components used in observation and targeting systems for combat vehicles.
