UPDATED: Russian forces have attacked Zaporizhzhia, resulting in casualties and injuries, according to the regional military administration.

The occupiers struck the industrial infrastructure with a KAB.

Russian occupiers have attacked Zaporizhzhia, resulting in one death.

This was reported on Telegram by the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov.

“The enemy targeted industrial infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia,” he wrote.

The number of injured has risen to 30 individuals.

Fedorov showed the aftermath of the shelling in Zaporizhzhia. Nearby the impact site, there are trams standing, among other things.

It is important to note that prior to this, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) warned about an enemy guided aerial bomb (GAB) heading towards the city.

The regional administration warned that the attack is still ongoing. The enemy is launching GABs towards the city from temporarily occupied territories.

In the Zaporizhzhia regional administration, they reported 13 fatalities. 30 individuals injured in the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia have been taken to hospitals in the regional center.

At the strike site, 7 medical teams, police, and emergency services are working.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims.   “There is nothing more brutal than aerial bombs falling on a city, knowing that ordinary civilians will be harmed. Pressure on Russia for terrorism is needed. We must support the protection of lives in Ukraine. Ending such a war with a reliable peace is only possible through strength,” the president wrote on Telegram.

The State Emergency Service reported the completion of emergency rescue operations. As a result of the enemy strike, 13 people have died, and 33 have been injured. Rescuers extinguished a fire in an administrative building covering an area of 800 square meters. In total, four administrative buildings, 27 vehicles, and a tram were damaged. 

Earlier, the head of the regional administration, Fedorov, reported that at least 80 people had sought medical assistance at hospitals.

The number of injured has increased to 63, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported.
