In Kharkiv, Russian forces struck the Kyiv district on the morning of Monday, November 25.

This was reported by the city mayor, Ihor Terekhov.

“There has been an explosion in Kharkiv. Please be cautious!” – he previously stated.

According to the mayor, the attack targeted the Kyiv district of the city. A fire erupted at the impact site.

Furthermore, in a telegram, the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleg Synegubov, added that preliminary information indicates the strike occurred in the central part of Kharkiv. Emergency services have been dispatched to the scene.

Later, Terekhov clarified that the number of injured had risen to ten.

He noted that firefighters have localized the blaze caused by the enemy shelling.

“The impact hit the ground. Three vehicles and the facade of a two-story non-residential building were ablaze, and glass in residential buildings was damaged,” Synegubov added.

According to data from Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the number of injured has risen to 19. The preliminary assessment indicates that the strike on central Kharkiv was delivered by an S-400 missile.

He mentioned that the impact occurred in a densely populated residential area.

“The strike hit the courtyards surrounded by high-rise buildings. Utility structures and vehicles were on fire. All relevant services and volunteers are working at the scene,” Terekhov wrote.

According to the press service of the National Police in the Kharkiv region, the number of injured as a result of the Russian military strike in central Kharkiv has risen to 23.

“It has been confirmed that the impact hit the ground. The fire damaged three vehicles and the facades of non-residential buildings. 23 individuals aged between 21 and 71 have sustained blast injuries. 16 of the injured have been taken to the hospital,” the statement reads.

In connection with the violation of the laws and customs of war, investigators have opened a criminal case under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

As reported to journalists by Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the building of the Kyiv district administration, which also houses the Administrative Services Center, has been significantly damaged. A total of 41 buildings have sustained damage to their facades, roofs, and windows.
