On the morning of February 1, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Poltava. A hit has been recorded in a multi-story residential building.

“The enemy struck Poltava. There is a hit in a residential building. Emergency services and rescuers are currently on site. Information is being clarified,” the statement reads.
The OVA published a photo showing that part of the five-story building has been destroyed.
The State Emergency Service (DSNS) reported that as a result of the attack, 2 people have died. Another 7 were injured, including a child.
“Rescuers saved 21 individuals. The entrance from the 1st to the 5th floor has been destroyed, and a fire has broken out. Neighboring buildings and 12 vehicles have also been damaged,” the report states.
