The utility workers have decided to try a new method to combat pollution
In the Podil district of the capital, surveillance systems will soon be installed at Lake Zelenе, allowing for quick detection and prevention of pollution attempts in the water body.

This was reported by KP "Pleso".
“KP 'Pleso' has reached out to KP 'Informatika' with a request to participate in addressing the issue of the illegal dump in the area adjacent to Lake Zelenе. As part of the Comprehensive Target Program 'Electronic Capital', it is proposed to install a surveillance system to monitor the state of the area,” the utility workers stated.

They explained that these measures are aimed at improving the ecological condition of the water body and preventing further pollution of the area.

Additionally, the slopes around the lake will soon be cleared of litter.
It is worth noting that, according to the Kyiv Ecological and Cultural Center (KECC), over 40 urban water bodies in the capital have been irreversibly destroyed, and another seven are currently on the brink of extinction.
