Pidhurnyi made it into the top 5 in the sprint at the Biathlon World Cup.
On Friday, January 24, the men's sprint took place in Antholz-Anterselva, Italy, as part of the sixth stage of the 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup.
The best result among Ukrainian athletes was achieved by Dmytro Pidruchnyi, who finished fifth with one miss.
In addition to the captain, another Ukrainian made it into the scoring zone – Anton Dudchenko, who finished the race in 36th place with perfect shooting at the shooting ranges.
Vitaliy Mandzyn, with three shooting errors, placed 61st, while Taras Lesiuk finished 68th with two missed targets.
The victory in the men's sprint was claimed by Norwegian Tarjei Boe, who outpaced his compatriot Sturla Laegreid by 0.4 seconds. Italian Tommaso Giacomel took third place.
