A person died in a fire near Kharkiv, according to the State Emergency Service.

An elderly man died as a result of a domestic fire in the village of Kholy, Kharkiv district.

According to "Dumka," this information was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.

As per the State Emergency Service's data, yesterday, December 29, at 12:15, information was received about a domestic fire in the village of Kholy, Kharkiv district.

Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters discovered that a living room in the house was burning, covering an area of 10 square meters. The fire was extinguished by 13:35.

As a result of the fire, an 80-year-old man lost his life. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
