Poland has declared Russian diplomats undesirable and has vacated the Russian consulate building in the city of Poznań. Ukraine is requesting to use this space for its own consulate.
In a comment to "Ukrinform," the head of Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Andriy Sybiha, shared this information.
The diplomat explained that Ukraine is interested in establishing a consulate in Poznań, as there is a significant Ukrainian population in the Greater Poland Voivodeship. In light of this, the ministry has sent an official note requesting the establishment of a Ukrainian consulate in the vacated premises.
"I am grateful to my Polish colleague for this offer. We have already sent an official note to the Polish side with the relevant request and are awaiting specific details," Sybiha commented.
