The Finance, Taxation, and Customs Policy Committee of the Verkhovna Rada has supported the cancellation of tax increases for individual entrepreneurs "retroactively."
This was reported by MP and Deputy Committee Chair Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
The corresponding amendment proposes to postpone the implementation of the military tax for individual entrepreneurs until January 1, 2025. Zheleznyak clarified that this provision does not apply to banking institutions.
In the law that the Rada approved back in October, a tax increase was set to take effect from the 1st of that month. The President has not signed it yet. According to the deputy, of the anticipated 30 billion UAH in taxes for 2024 that the budget was expected to receive from the adoption of this law, only 8 billion UAH remains. "Everything else was lost due to the delay in signing," Zheleznyak noted.
The Committee has included the relevant amendment in bill №9319 "On Amendments to the Tax Code and Certain Other Legislative Acts Regarding the Stimulation of Digital Economy Development in Ukraine." The Rada will consider it next week.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the tax increase law will take effect on December 1. It is expected that the President will sign it in the coming days.
