In the Kursk region, soldiers from North Korea shot five Russian marines and fled, taking weapons with them. Reports indicate that the search for them has been ongoing for a week.
This information was posted by activist Serhiy Sternenko on his Telegram channel, along with a photo of the wanted notice for the soldiers.
“On January 13, 2024, in the area of Velyke Soldatske, North Korean servicemen, after a prior conspiracy, committed the murder of five military personnel from the 810th Marine Brigade and left the unit's deployment site. They may be moving in a group across the territories of Kursk, Belgorod, Bryansk, and Oryol regions. The criminals are armed and dangerous,” the notice states.
Background. It is worth noting that South Korean intelligence reported that North Korean soldiers have been ordered to kill themselves to avoid capture. Russians and other military personnel from North Korea are finishing off their wounded and doing everything possible to eliminate evidence of their involvement.
