Saudi clubs completed two high-profile transfers.

Saudi Arabian football clubs are actively attracting star players from European leagues, making significant investments in their squads.

According to official information, 27-year-old Brazilian winger Wenderson Galeno has transferred from Portuguese club Porto to Saudi club Al-Ahli for €50 million.

Galeno, who had a contract with Porto until 2028, played 153 matches for the club, scoring 45 goals and providing 21 assists. He has also represented the Brazilian national team twice. At Al-Ahli, he will join stars like Roberto Firmino, Ivan Toney, Riyad Mahrez, and Edouard Mendy.

An even more expensive transfer was made by Al-Nassr, who signed 21-year-old Colombian forward John Duran from Aston Villa for €77 million.

This transfer has become the most expensive in the history of Saudi football since Neymar's signing in 2023, when Al-Ahli paid €90 million for the Brazilian.

Al-Nassr features one of the world's most famous footballers, Cristiano Ronaldo, along with other notable players such as Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic, Aymeric Laporte, and David Ospina.
