The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has formally charged the governor of the Samara region of Russia in absentia for supplying strike drones and electronic warfare equipment to the Russian army.

This information is provided by the SBU in the Kirovohrad region.

It is noted that the SBU has gathered evidence and has accused the governor of the Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, of financing the terrorist activities of the occupying Russian army on the territory of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, the official personally traveled multiple times to the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions to deliver electronic warfare equipment, provisions, bulletproof vests, strike drones, and vehicles to Russian invaders.

As reported by the SBU, since the beginning of 2024, he has personally provided the 30th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, which is fighting in the Donetsk region against the Ukrainian Defense Forces, with automotive equipment, gear, supplies, and no less than 1 million rubles each month.

“Based on the evidence collected by the SBU, the Kremlin accomplice has been charged in absentia with committing a crime under part 4 of Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (‘Financing actions aimed at violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order, change of the territory or state border of Ukraine’),” the statement reads.

Background. Recall that the SBU uncovered a network of Russian agents who were searching for storage locations for F-16s. Some of them are deserters who left the Armed Forces of Ukraine without permission.
