SID Venture Partners has invested in five startups focused on AI.

The total number of transactions for the fund has now exceeded 30 investments.

The Ukrainian venture fund SID Venture Partners has invested in five more startups focused on artificial intelligence. These investments were made in 2024.

According to Mind, this information was provided by the fund.

“We are proud to be one of the most active partners of Y Combinator, having invested in 6 graduate companies to date. Our presence in San Francisco and close relationships with YC give us early access to the most promising startups emerging from the leading accelerator in Silicon Valley,” the fund commented.

The amounts of the investments have not been disclosed. It is known that the fund's average check ranges from $200,000 to $250,000. Four out of five investments were made during seed rounds:

  • Sepal AI (YC'24) is creating high-quality training data and expert annotations for the development of AI models in collaboration with leading global specialists. The company has attracted a network of over 20,000 researchers and industry experts across various fields, including biology, law, medicine, chemistry, mathematics, and engineering. Leading Sepal AI are Robi Lin, Kat Hu, and Fedor Paretsky, who previously worked at companies like Turing, McKinsey, Bain, and Vercel.
  • GameTree is an LFG (Looking For Group) platform with more than 1 million users that employs an innovative approach to matching gamers. GameTree utilizes AI for matchmaking based on gaming preferences, personality, and play style. The company is led by Dana Sydorenko (Forbes 30u30 Europe), who has experience in business, technology, and investments.
  • Altris AI is a startup that is revolutionizing ophthalmology and optometry through automated interpretation of OCT scans. The company has developed an FDA-approved platform that detects over 70 biomarkers and retinal pathologies, with the potential for early glaucoma risk assessment. Altris AI’s solutions are already in demand and implemented in more than 500 ophthalmology offices. The company was founded by Maria Znamenka (PhD in ophthalmology) and Andriy Kuropiatnyk, an MBA and IT consultant.
  • memoryOS is an EdTech startup focused on memory training through a combination of proven methodologies and gamification. Co-founded by two-time world memory champion Jonas von Essen and Ukrainian entrepreneur Oleksii Ruzhytskyi, memoryOS has already attracted over 100,000 users. memoryOS features a unique approach to enhancing memory that combines effective learning and memorization techniques, interactive micro-lessons in the style of Duolingo, and a patented virtual Memory Palace technology.
  • Burt Intelligence is an AdTech company developing a platform for the digital advertising industry. Their solutions help publishers gain real-time insights, analyze trends, and improve ROI on advertising spending. Among Burt's clients are Vox Media and The CW Network. The company is led by Shay Brog, who previously held leadership positions at AOL, GumGum, and Insticator.

Currently, the total number of the fund’s transactions has exceeded 30 investments. Since its launch in December 2021, SID Venture Partners has invested over $5.5 million in startups from Ukraine, the USA, and other countries.

The fund also notes that they are already taking the first steps towards launching the next investment fund.
