Svitolina dropped six spots in the world rankings but aims to make a comeback into the top 10.

The Ukrainian tennis player shared her plans for 2025.
Свитолина потеряла 6 позиций в мировом рейтинге, но намерена вернуться в топ-10.

Former Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina has dropped from 23rd to 29th place in the WTA rankings.

Svitolina has yet to return to competition following a several-month break, resulting in the loss of ranking points earned a year ago, which has caused her decline in the standings.

“My goals for 2025 are to focus on my health. Returning to the top 10 is a significant goal for me, and I am doing everything I can to prepare my body and mind for the upcoming challenges,” Svitolina stated.

On the other hand, Angelina Kalinina's successful performance has enabled her to rise in the rankings. Her semifinal appearance at the Brisbane tournament allowed her to break into the top 50 (climbing from 55th to 48th place).

The highest-ranked among Ukrainian players remains Marta Kostyuk, who has retained the 18th spot in the rankings. Similarly, Dayana Yastremska's 33rd position has not changed. There have been no changes within the top 10 of the rankings.
