Tennis players Elina Svitolina and Dayana Yastremska secured victories in their second matches at the Australian Open.
Both athletes confidently advanced to the third round of the first Grand Slam tournament of 2025.
Yastremska faced Montenegrin opponent Danka Kovinic, where the Ukrainian player was the favorite and ultimately showcased her strength by defeating her opponent decisively.
Dayana lost just one game and spent only 52 minutes in total to claim her victory.

Svitolina was also regarded as the favorite in her match against American Caroline Dolehide, and once again, the Ukrainian athlete faced no significant challenges. In the first set, Svitolina allowed her opponent only one game.
In the second set, the American improved her serving, but still could not secure a win.

Both representatives of Ukraine have guaranteed themselves $290,000 in prize money for reaching the third round of the women’s draw at the Australian Open.
