In Kyiv, a man has been detained on suspicion of committing a terrorist act.

The investigation revealed that a resident of Odesa received a "contract" via Telegram. The perpetrators promised him $2000 for detonating explosives near an administrative building in the Darnytskyi district of the capital.
The suspect threw a homemade explosive device, filled with nails, over a fence. After that, he moved away from the fence and detonated the explosives. No one was injured; however, according to prosecutors, the bomber intended to cause casualties.
The terrorism suspect was apprehended in Odesa after purchasing materials to create new explosives. He has been placed under arrest as a precautionary measure. For committing a terrorist act, the suspect could face 5 to 10 years in prison.
