On Thursday, January 23, a major failure was recorded in the operation of the virtual assistant powered by generative artificial intelligence, ChatGPT. The chatbot is temporarily unavailable to users.
According to reports from the Downdetector service.
As per the service's data, the outage in ChatGPT has been observed not only in Ukraine but also in various countries across Europe and the USA.
Among other issues, an error message appears when attempting to access the virtual assistant. Meanwhile, some users report that the chatbot returns an error during query input.
There is currently no official information regarding the cause of the ChatGPT outage, but information is beginning to surface in the information space of the terrorist state of Russia, suggesting that the failure in the chatbot is the work of the Russian hacker group 22c.
One of the hackers commented that they brought down the virtual assistant because the Armed Forces of Ukraine allegedly used it to process satellite images. In his view, the service supposedly assisted them in tracking the movements of Russian troops.
