The UAF lost the case against Tymoshchuk in the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The traitorous football player will reclaim some of his accomplishments.
УАФ проиграла дело против Тимощука в Спортивном арбитражном суде.

Former captain of the national football team Anatoliy Tymoshchuk has won a case against the Ukrainian Football Association at the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland).

After the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, Tymoshchuk did not condemn the actions of the terrorists and continued to work as a coach for a Russian football club, which was interpreted as silent support for Putin's regime.

The UAF decided to find Tymoshchuk guilty of violating the Code of Ethics and Fair Play and imposed sanctions against the former football player.

The coach of St. Petersburg's Zenit (a team sponsored by Gazprom) was stripped of all state awards, football accolades, and had his coaching license, obtained in Ukraine, revoked. He was also banned from engaging in any football-related activities in Ukraine and removed from the official roster of the national team.

After the ruling, Tymoshchuk appealed it to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, and now the Lausanne court has decided to lift the sanctions against the traitor. CAS found no evidence of wrongdoing in Tymoshchuk's actions from 24.02.2022 to 11.03.2022 – the period during which the UAF deemed him guilty of violating the Code of Ethics and Fair Play.

The UAF commented to Tribuna.com: “Unfortunately, CAS approached this case in a very formal manner and confirmed a partial misunderstanding of the realities in which we live. The position of the Ukrainian football community is unequivocal and has never changed. There is no place for individuals like Tymoshchuk in Ukrainian football.”

Thus, according to the court's decision, Tymoshchuk is now to have his titles of champion and holder of the Cups of Ukraine returned, and he will again be recognized as the national team record holder for the number of matches played.

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that Tymoshchuk helped raise money for the Russians to assist the Kursk region.
