The Cabinet of Ministers has made a decision that will enable Ukraine to receive $4.8 billion from the World Bank.
This was reported by the head of the government, Denys Shmyhal.
“We made a decision today that will allow us to attract these funds within the framework of the PEACE project,” he wrote.
According to him, these funds will be financed by the USA and partners. The money will be directed towards social and humanitarian programs.
Shmyhal reminded that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation, Ukraine has received over $100 billion in external financing.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that Ukraine will attract over $1 billion in concessional loans from the World Bank. These funds have been accumulated thanks to the governments of Japan and the United Kingdom.
