"UkrOboronProm" and the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding cooperation, agreeing to collaborate between the defense industries of both countries.

This was reported by Ukrainian Minister for Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin.

The document outlines the production of ammunition, maintenance of armored vehicles and artillery, as well as strengthening the air defense sector.

They also plan to develop financial mechanisms to attract tools and funds provided by the European Defense Initiative Strategy (EDIS) and the European Defense Industrial Program (EDIP).

"I am grateful to the Polish government for facilitating cooperation between the defense sectors of our countries at such a high level. This support is extremely valuable given the conditions in which the Ukrainian defense industry is developing. Currently, we have a significant need for explosives and critical components. Moreover, we aim to deepen cooperation not just at the level of defense companies but also at the industry level," the Ukrainian minister noted.

He expressed confidence that the countries would be "equally beneficial to each other," resulting in enhanced defense capabilities for both states.
