The government has outlined its plans for developing the healthcare system in Ukraine. Here are the key details.

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a strategy for the development of the healthcare system until 2030. A plan for its implementation over the next three years has also been confirmed.

This was announced by the Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

“Today we are adopting a key framework document for our healthcare – the Strategy for the Development of the Healthcare System until 2030. We are also approving a plan for its implementation over the next three years,” he wrote.

According to Shmyhal, among the tasks for 2025 are:

• involving departmental and specialized medical institutions in the medical guarantees program;
• implementing 15 priority regional investment projects in healthcare;
• enhancing access to medical services for war veterans;
• expanding the "Affordable Medicines" program;
• creating over 300 outpatient rehabilitation spaces and much more;
• restoring "Okhmatdyt";
• further developing a system of quality shelters in hospitals.
