In Kharkiv, a repeat offender was sentenced for stabbing an acquaintance.

A recidivist in Kharkiv has been sentenced for seriously injuring an acquaintance and committing a series of thefts.

This was reported by the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office, as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to the prosecutor's office, the Kharkiv resident, who had been previously convicted multiple times for property crimes, continued to break the law.

Specifically, on August 6, 2023, the accused was visiting a friend. The men were drinking alcohol, but during the height of their improvised "party," a conflict arose that could not be resolved verbally, leading to a physical altercation.

The accused grabbed a knife and struck the host twice in the left arm and once in the chest, causing him severe bodily harm. Fortunately, thanks to timely medical assistance, the victim survived.

In addition, starting from January 2023, the accused committed a number of thefts. He stole goods and equipment from grocery stores and bakery stalls, broke into cars, and took belongings from victims, including batteries, tools, and more.

During the court proceedings, the accused fully admitted his guilt.

The court sentenced the man to 7 years in prison.
