In Kharkiv, a law enforcement officer hit a pedestrian on a crosswalk.

The State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) is determining the circumstances surrounding a fatal traffic accident that occurred on the morning of November 26 in Kharkiv.

This information was provided to the publication "Dumka" by Alexander Belka, a representative of the Territorial Office of the SBI in Poltava.

According to his data, on November 26 at approximately 6:10 AM, a law enforcement officer, while driving along Aerospace Avenue towards Kharkiv Airport, struck a 60-year-old woman at a pedestrian crossing.

The victim succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the accident.

Immediately, SBI personnel arrived at the site of the accident to establish all the circumstances and conduct initial investigative actions. The driver showed no visible signs of intoxication.

A pre-trial investigation has been initiated under part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
