According to the results from the past 10 months, the Ukrainian economy has grown by 4.2%. The main drivers of this growth remain the transportation and construction sectors, as well as the manufacturing industry.
This information is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.
“Thanks to the implementation of recovery programs and an increase in demand for construction work, the construction sector continues to show an upward trend. Among the economic growth drivers is also transportation, primarily due to the stable operation of the grain corridor,” noted Deputy Minister of Economy Oleksiy Sobolev.
GDP growth in October 2024 compared to October 2023 was recorded at 1.3%.
According to the ministry, transportation, processing, and construction continued to demonstrate a strong positive trend. Meanwhile, agriculture experienced a decline. The reason for this is the early harvest collection this year: by October, farmers had already completed the collection of certain agricultural crops.
The Ministry of Economy reminded that in September 2024, GDP growth was recorded at 3.8%, and for the first nine months, it was 4.5%, which generally aligns with the updated government forecast.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that Ukraine's GDP increased by 4.5% since the beginning of 2024. One of the key reasons for this growth, according to the Ministry of Economy, was stabilization in the energy sector.
