The electric vehicle market in Ukraine has grown by nearly 40% over the past year, according to "Ukravtoprom."

Among the new electric models, the Volkswagen ID.4 and Honda M-NV have emerged as the most popular.

In 2024, Ukraine registered over 51,700 electric vehicles with zero emissions (BEV), which marks a 38% increase compared to the figures from 2023.

According to a report on Telegram by Ukravtoprom.

A total of 1,264 commercial electric vehicles were registered, reflecting a 64% rise from the previous year. Additionally, Ukrainians purchased two electric buses.

The share of new vehicles among BEV registrations was 20%, which is consistent with the 2023 figures.

The most popular new electric models included: Volkswagen ID.4 (1,626 units), Honda M-NV (1,279 units), BYD Song Plus (1,007 units), Nissan Ariya (766 units), and Zeekr 001 (703 units).

Among used electric vehicles that were registered for the first time in Ukraine, the top models were: Nissan Leaf (5,511 units), Tesla Model 3 (4,639 units), Tesla Model Y (4,225 units), Volkswagen e-Golf (2,479 units), and Hyundai Kona Electric (2,337 units).

In December 2024, Ukrainians purchased nearly 3,800 electric cars, representing an 18% decrease compared to December 2023. Of this total, over 3,600 were passenger cars, and 124 were commercial vehicles.

Background. Previously, Mind reported that in October 2024, 4,277 electric vehicles were registered in Ukraine, which is a 5% decrease compared to the same period last year and 12 units less than in September of the current year.
