Zelensky: Halting the transit of Russian gas to Europe via Ukraine is one of Moscow's biggest defeats.

The President urged support for Moldova during its "energy transformation" and to "withstand the hysteria of certain European politicians."
Зеленский: прекращение транзита российского газа в Европу через Украину — одно из крупнейших поражений Москвы.

The transformation of energy resources into weapons and the energy blackmailing of partners has stripped Russia of its European market.

Volodymyr Zelensky stated this.

“When Putin was granted power in Russia over 25 years ago, the annual gas transit through Ukraine to Europe amounted to over 130 billion cubic meters. Today, the transit of Russian gas is 0. This is one of Moscow's greatest defeats,” noted the president.

According to Zelensky, the primary task now is to support Moldova during its energy transformation. Additionally, it is important to “withstand the hysteria of some European politicians who prefer mafia-like schemes with Moscow over a transparent energy policy.” He added that the vast majority of countries have adapted to the refusal of Russian gas.

“We are hopeful for an increase in American gas supplies to Europe, as President Trump has already mentioned. Cooperation and maximum offers from partners in the market will help make prices more comfortable,” said the head of state. “The more gas there is in the market from true partners of Europe, the sooner the last negative consequences of European energy dependence on Russia will be overcome.”

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that starting January 1, Ukraine ceased the transit of Russian gas. In the unrecognized Transnistria, heating plants, private, and multi-apartment buildings are being shut down.
