Residents of Kharkiv region have been warned about worsening weather conditions: here's what to watch out for.

Today, November 21, severe weather conditions are forecasted for Kharkiv and the surrounding region.

This information comes from the Patrol Police of Kharkiv Oblast, as reported by "Dumka."

According to the patrol officers, a southern wind is expected to reach 17-22 m/s at night, with gusts of 25-27 m/s in some areas during the day. A yellow alert has also been issued, indicating a level I hazard. Such weather conditions may lead to power outages and disruptions in traffic on certain roads and streets.

The patrol officers provided several tips for drivers to ensure their safety and that of others:

• adhere to speed limits and maintain a safe distance, avoiding risky maneuvers;
• when driving in low visibility conditions, use low beam headlights and fog lights;
• reduce speed in advance before turns, intersections, traffic lights, and unregulated pedestrian crossings;
• utilize passive safety measures for both adults and children;
• if necessary, call the emergency line at 102.
